Iran vows tough revenge against terrorists

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Intelligence Hojjatoleslam Mahmoud Alavi says tough revenge awaits terrorists involved in the attack on the IRGC forces in southeastern country.

Hojjatoleslam Alavi made the remarks in reaction to the late Wednesday's terrorist attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) forces on Khash-Zahedan road in Sistan-Baluchestan Province.

Issuing a condolence message on the occasion, the minister said intelligence forces will take tough and crushing revenge on the planners, agents and supporters of the 'heineous' crime.

Martyrdom of a group of the devoted forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters by the agents of the global arrogance and international Zionism on the Khash-Zahedan road in Sistan-Baluchestan Province on Wednesday once again showed desperation and inability of the Great Satan and weak grouplets in the face of the firm divine will of people in the Islamic nation.

He said coincidence of the already failed Warsaw meeting with the cowardly suicidal crime, which came out of desperation of ignorant Takfiri terrorist agents and happiness of the traitor the Mujahedin-e Khalq terrorist organization (MKO aka, MEK), shows that there had been a pre-designed plot to cover up the degeneration and inability of the domination system to vainly make the weak reactionary ring leaders of the region.

With their strong faith and authority and being fully aware in terms of intelligence, the intelligence forces will definitely take harsh and crushing revenge on the planners, agents and supporters of the 'heineous' inhumane crime and punish the criminals, added the minister.

Hojjatoleslam Alavi extended condolences to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Iranian people, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander-in-chief and forces on the incident and sympathized as well with the bereaved families of the martyrs.

He also wished patience for all the survivors and speedy recovery for the injured.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were martyred and 13 wounded in the terror attack.

The statement added the bus carrying IRGC border guards who were on their way home after the end of a mission was targeted by a suicide bomber.
