Iran prosecutor orders confronting agents behind attack on IRGC

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA – Iran Prosecutor-General Mohammad Jaffar Montazeri has ordered punishment of those behind the Wednesday terrorist attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) forces on Khash-Zahedan road in Sistan-Balouchestan Province.

In a message on Thursday, Hojjatoleslam Montazeri condemned the incident, which left killed 27 IRGC forces and injured a number of others, ordering chief justice of Sistan-Balouchestan Province to cooperate with the security and intelligence forces to deal with the agents behind the attack.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 more wounded in the Khash-Zahedan Road terror attack.

The statement added a bus carrying the IRGC border guards, who were on their way home after the end of a mission, was targeted by a suicide bomber.

Based on the latest reports, the bodies of the martyrs will be transferred to Isfahan and funeral sessions for them will be held on Saturday. The bodies will then be transferred for burial in their hometown.
