Europe not to succumb to US bullying: Ambassador

Madrid, Feb 12, IRNA - Iran's Ambassador to Cuba Kambiz Sheihk Hassani emphasizing that the world, and in particular Europe, should not surrender to American bullying and unilateral policies, highlighted that Europe must practically demonstrate that it is committed to its obligations toward the Iranian nation and seek to work with mutual interests instead of creating tensions.

The high-ranking official, speaking at the 40th anniversary of the Revolution in Havana and in the presence of the Cuban and foreign guests attending the ceremony, considered Iran's foreign policy based on the principles of wisdom, dignity and expediency and based on prudence and rational behavior.

'We demand a peace based on justice, mutual respect, equality of nations, and development and progress for all. We consider the solution for the Persian Gulf’s problems a collaborative effort for a 'strong region' rather than a coalition for crisis creation,' the Ambassador went on to say.

Sheikh Hassani noted, “While committing to the fight against terrorism in all its forms, Iran has been steadfastly helping to resolve the Syrian crisis along the process of Astana, and condemning the aggression from the outset to solve the Yemeni crisis, and presented our 4-clause plan to the UN based on the political solution through the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue.
