40th anniv ceremony of Islamic Revolution held in Algeria

Algiers, Feb 11, IRNA - Sunday evening February 10 a magnificent ceremony on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory was held here with the participation of a large number of national and military officials, Algerian political, cultural and scientific figures and ambassadors residing in Algiers.

At a ceremony held in the International Conference Center in Algiers, Taher Hajjar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Algeria Minister of Energy Mustafa Gheytoni, were represented on behalf of the president and government.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Iran and Algeria, 14 MPs and Senators, the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of the country, 9 former ministers, a number of political party heads, a group of newspaper editors and many social, cultural, media and academic personalities of Algiers, participated in the ceremony and expressed congratulations on the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution to the Iranian people and government.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Algeria, Reza Ameri, during this ceremony, underlined the achievements of the Islamic Revolution over the past four decades and the conspiracies of the enemies of the revolution, insisted that Iran's brave and revolutionary nation has been able to neutralize these plots and despite the pressures and problems due to the plots of enemies will continue their path to growth and excellence.

The ambassador further expressed the hope that the economic relations and trade relations between the two countries will spread even more, pointing to good political, cultural and parliamentary relations between Iran and Algeria.
