Indian Kashmiris commemorate 40th anniv of Islamic Revolution victory

New Delhi, Feb 11, IRNA –Anjuman-e-Sharie Shia (The Association of Shias) in Jammu and Kashmir held a Conference, themed 'Iran's Islamic Revolution', in Budgam District of Kashmir on the 40th Victory Anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran.

CNS Kashmir website said several Muslim leaders and analysts briefed the audience on various aspects of Iran's Islamic Revolution and the role and personality of the Father of the Islamic Revolution and Founder of the Islamic Republic the late Imam Khomeini.

They also highlighted Islamic Revolution achievements on the basis of faith and resistance.

Secretary of the Association Seyed Hassan Mousavi congratulated Iranian people and in commemoration of Islamic Revolution martyrs, said the revolution has drawn the attention of the world of Islam to the importance of the Islamic establishment and its injunctions.

He said nobody can give an end to success of the movement, which is based on fact, right principles and wishes of people.

Islamic Revolution is a vital example in this connection.

Other speakers said goals of Iran revolution and Imam Khomeini were divine in nature because the revolution aimed to protect Islam and religion.
