Exhibition of Iranian, Georgian pupils' paintings opens in Tbilisi

Baku, Feb 9, IRNA - The 9th exhibition of the paintings of Iranian and Georgian school pupils was inaugurated at the School No. 195 of Tbilisi on Saturday on the occasion of the 40th victory anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

The exhibition is open under the auspices of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in Georgia and Georgian Elene Akhvlediani Gallery of Painting.

Ambassador and the cultural attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, the Municipality and the Tbilisi City Council and a group of officials were present in the opening ceremony on Saturday.

More than 100 paintings and designs of pupils from several schools in Georgia and Ferdowsi Educational Complex at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tbilisi are showcased in the exhibition.

The event aims to identify pupils' talents and abilities, and establish friendship and verbal communication between Georgian pupils, sponsored by the Cultural Advisory and Saadi Foundation in the Persian language schools.
