China Communist Party condoles Habibi’s demise

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA - Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee expressed condolences on the death of Iran’s Islamic Coalition Party’s Secretary-General Mohammad Nabi Habibi.

In a message on Monday, the Ministry of the International Affairs of the Central Committee of China’s Communist Party said “it is unfortunate that we have been informed of the death of Mr. Mohammad Nabi Habibi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Coalition Party.'

The message further expressed the Communist Party's condolences to Habibi's family and members of the Islamic Coalition Party.

Mohammad Nabi Habibi passed away on Tuesday, January 20, due to heart attack at the age of 73.

Habibi was one of the revolutionary people who fought during the Islamic movement against the Pahlavi regime. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he was in charge of the governorate of Tehran, Fars and Khorasan provinces. He was also elected after the resignation of Habibollah Asgaroladi as the Secretary General of the Islamic Coalition Party.
