Iran: Terrorist groups still trying to pretend existence

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi expressed regret over terrorist attack on Iranian pilgrims' bus in Iraq and said the the defeated and rejected terrorist groups were still under the illusion that they have to show off their existance by committing crimes.

According to the Foreign Ministry Public Diplomacy Bureau, he said that these terrorist groups, due to their silly mentalities, seeking to sabotage the friendly ties between the two nations of Iran and Iraq and tarnish the unity existing between them.

Earlier, speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), an informed source said the terrorists attacked a bus carrying Iranian pilgrims in southern town of Balad, Saladin Province on Sunday.

He noted that the bus was not traveling on the main road.

Qasemi said the terrorists falsely think that they could damage the ties and unity between Iranian and Iraqi nations.

He also vehemently slammed the inhumane and brutal act which resulted in death and injury of a number of Iranian pilgrims.

Qasemi expressed the readiness of the Iranian Foreign Ministry to investigate the accident.

He said Iran will attend to the health condition of the injured pilgrims.

Reiterating that these terrorist groups will never reach their aims, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said that disastrous incidents like this will only strengthen Iran's determination to uproot the remaining criminals.
