Islamic Azad University ready to expand joint scientific activities with Iraq

Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA - The head of the Islamic Azad University in a meeting with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Research emphasized that the university is ready to enter a new field of joint scientific activities with detailed and operational work with Iraq.

Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi added on Sunday, 'One of the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the 40 years since the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution has been numerous scientific advances. These achievements have been achieved within the context of scientific achievements and outcomes and various articles, so that Iran ranks 16th in the world and the Islamic Azad University is among the largest Iranian institutions in this regard.”

Tehranchi announced the readiness of Islamic Azad University to set up a science and technology park in Iran and Iraq, adding that the university is also ready for any cooperation with the Iraqi state in the areas of medicine, treatment and training of human resources such as physicians, nurses and medical staff.

He said, 'Our relationship is based on brotherhood, whose fruits are the civilization of the Islamic period that ruled the world for 500 years.'
