Warsaw summit new US adventure after defeat in Middle East

Baku, Jan 30, IRNA - Azerbaijan's political expert Akef Heydarli said that after the failure of the US 'Great Middle East' project in Syria, Washington is seeking a new adventure and scenario by holding the Warsaw Summit.

Heydarli, in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Wednesday, added, 'The Warsaw Summit is doomed to failure, like the previous hostile actions of the United States against Iran. After the Islamic Revolution, the US has repeatedly taken similar steps against Iran but it has failed.

'Unlike the hostile movements of Washington, the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and the world has been further strengthened,' he added.

The Warsaw summit, scheduled for February 13-14, has not been yet welcomed even by the United States allies, which has led to a shift in the agenda of the Summit.

Heydarli said that Iran, in partnership with several countries in the region, succeeded in defeating the 'Great Middle East' project in Syria, and that the world saw the defeat of the United States and Washington’s allies in Iraq, and that the United States and its allies were forced to withdraw from Iraq.

Azerbaijani political expert highlighted that the United States has already formed an 'Arab Coalition' with the help of regional governments, whose destiny is clear to everyone.

Referring to the skepticism of EU officials about the summit, political expert said the EU countries have not yet announced their readiness to attend the summit.
