Lebanese expert: Nasrallah's remarks depicted deterrence against Israel in Syria

Beirut, Jan 30, IRNA- Lebanese journalist and analyst Wassim Bazzi portrayed the recent remarks by Hezbollah's Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah as depicting a turning-point in deterrence against the successive attacks of the Zionist regime against Syria.

Nasrallah warned the Zionist regime about continuing its attacks on Syria in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV network, threatening the axis of resistance to respond to these attacks.

In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Bazzi emphasized that Nasrallah’s interview was very important because Nasrallah's remarks strengthened Lebanon's deterrence against the Israeli enemy. In the subject of Syria, Nasrallah set up the rules of conflict by warning Netanyahu's mistake. “I think this will play a role in stopping the invasion of Syria.”

The journalist pointed out that the interview was carried out after a long silence by Nasrallah. The silence that had caused the Israeli enemy to rumor about his health, 'but this interview revealed the lie of all these allegations. On the other hand, the interview was followed by a series of important events in the region, most notably the announcement of the withdrawal of the US troops from Syria by President Donald Trump and the Israel’s horror about this decision. AS well, the interview was carried out before the Warsaw Summit, which the United States seeks to take advantage in order to confront Iran. This dialogue was conducted under conditions that Netanyahu is busy with the election and is in a position of weakness.'
