Iran exports to Pakistan up by 45%

Islamabad, Jan 30, IRNA -- Iran's exports to Pakistan have increased by around 45 percent during past nine months of current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) as compared to the previous fiscal year.

According to the figures of Iranian embassy and Trade Promotion Authority of Iran, trade between Iran and Pakistan has witnessed a considerable growth.

According to the facts and figures Pakistan is the seventh most favorite destination of Iranian exports, while Iraq is on top of the list with China on second and the United Arab Emirates at third.

During the last nine months, Iran exported products worth US $ 869 million to Pakistan. There is also 26 percent increase in the weight of the exported items which stood at 8, 89000 tons.

Iranian products have also seen an increase of 2.7 percent in their value as compared to last year. In the current year, Iran exported crude oil, bitumen, sulfur, petrochemical products, sweets, chocolates and pistachios to Pakistan.

Despite the banking problems and custom issues the trade between Iran and Pakistan has increased to 50 percent.
