Algiers, Jan 27, IRNA - Algerian journalist Saad Abu Aqaba described the Islamic Revolution of Iran as unparalleled in the world.

In an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Abu Aqaba said that the Algerian media and people in the years leading to the victory of the Islamic Revolution had followed developments and events everyday.

“At that time, due to the presence of Imam Khomeini in France, France geographical proximity to Algeria and in terms of Algerian acquaintance with French language, very soon his news was released in Algeria, in those conditions Imam Khomeini sent his messages through the tape to the people. The cassettes were multiplied among the people and played the role of social networks these days.

Algerian journalist also spoke about the reaction of the Algerians to the Iranian Revolution, and said that Algeria's relations with the Shah's regime were not very good. While there was every diplomatic relationship, for some reasons Algeria did not feel proximity with the regime, because the Shah was in the West camp and among the supporters of Israel.

“And while Algeria opposed the plans of Western countries in the Middle East and Palestine, it was for this reason that the people of Algeria welcomed the attempt to make a change in Iran. Officials in Algeria were also pleased with the developments in Iran, because on the one hand, they did not have very good relations with the Shah's regime, and on the other hand, Algeria's people were Lovers and supporters of the Iranian revolution against the regime.
