Iran says ready to share cord blood banking know-how

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA – Head of Iran's Rouyan Stem Cell Technology Company says the company is ready to transfer the cord blood banking technology to neighboring and other countries and transfer the relevant know-how.

'Rouyan Company welcomes any suggestion for scientific and research,' said the Head of Rouyan Company Morteza Zarrabi during a meeting on Sunday with the visiting Managing Director of Oxford International Development Group (OIDG) James Miller in the Iranian capital.

The OIDG was established in Mississippi, United States, and later moved its department of health diplomacy to Geneva, Switzerland.

The company is active in public health and medical diplomacy.

During his tour of the Rouyan Company Professor Miller admired achievements made by Iranian experts in the field of stem cells and umbilical cord blood banking the know-how possessed by them.

During the meeting, the two sides also agreed to provide the grounds for scientific and research cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience and embark on joint projects.
