Tehran- Ankara resolved to strengthen all-round ties

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA- Iran's Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohammad Nahavandian called deepening Iran-Turkey economic ties as a step towards deeper bond, stressing that Tehran and Ankara have serious determination to strengthen all bilateral relations, especially in the economic sector.

During a meeting with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Iranian high-ranking official stressed that the Islamic world is becoming more powerful with closer ties between Iran and Turkey, noting, “With unity between Iran and Turkey, no country can succeed in economic sanctions against the two countries.”

Referring to the 40-year-old US sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said that the difference between the current US government sanctions against our country in comparison to the past is that now the countries of the world, and even European governments, not only do not accompany the US government in this period of pressure and imposition of cruel sanctions against Tehran, but also stand against it.

Iran's Vice President for Economic Affairs pointed out that the US threats against Islamic Iran, despite machinations are incapable of achieving their goals, and said, 'The president of the United States faces many problems even within his own country and in the administration of the state and he certainly cannot accomplish its objectives beyond the oceans.”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, for his part, pointed to the historical and deep ties between Iran and Turkey, and stressed on the rise in the common ties between Tehran and Ankara, especially in the economic sectors and chambers of commerce, given the current situation.

Noting that President Hassan Rouhani's trip to Turkey paved the ground for enormous developments, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the Turkish president has also continually recalled the expanding economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran to economic activists, entrepreneurs and the private sector.
