Commemoration ceremony for Pakistan’s founder held in Mashad

Mashad, Jan 22, IRNA - The commemoration ceremony of Qaid-i-Azam (Great Leader) Mohammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan, was held at the Faculty of Literature of Ferdowsi University of Mashad on Tuesday.

Pakistan Ambassador to Tehran Rafat Masood said in the ceremony, “Mohammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan, formed a country called Islam.”

Masood added, 'Jinnah understood Islam and wanted it with modernity, and borrowed this thought from Iqbal Lahoori.”

The diplomat stated that the idea that led Pakistan to become India's important country in terms of education and higher education is very important.

'This was the view, that led education in Pakistan after Pakistani independence from India, is considered as important,' She said.

Masood said that Mohammad Ali Jinnah, while studying in London, joined the queue of fighters against British colonialism in India, and by 1937 he did not want Muslims to be separated from Hindus and India.
