Special deaf photography exhibition slated for Jan 17

Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA - Iranian National Center of the Deaf is to set up special Deaf Photography Exhibition on Thursday, January 17.

Showing the talent and ability of deaf artists and changing people's attitudes towards the deaf abilities is one of the main goals of this exhibition.

The exhibition is held in light of the importance of the issue and the subjective and imaginative recognition of the deaf and the hearing-impaired by the presence of photography instructors and other photography enthusiasts.

The debut photography exhibition is held nationally and the exhibition will be held in order to present the photos of the participants in the contest.

Every year, various programs and events are held at Iranian National Center of the Deaf and the hearing-impaired.

At present, 1,434,000 people with disabilities are covered by the country's Welfare Organization, with 245,000 as the deaf and the hearing-impaired.
