New York to host Iranian Film Festival

New York, Jan 12, IRNA – First Iranian Film Festival will be held in New York for six days to screen 10 works directed by Iranian directors.

The festival organized jointly by the IFC Center and Iran’s Cultural Artistic Institute of Dariche-ye Cinema will screen the Iranian films including “Take Me Home” and “The Report” directed by Abbas Kiarostami, “76 Minutes and 15 Seconds with Abbas Kiarostami” by Seyfolah Samadian, “I Want To Dance”, “Tale of the Sea” and “Tall Shadows Of The Wind” by Bahman Farmanara, “3 Faces” by Jafar Panahi, “The Home” by Asghar Yousefinejad, “Pig” by Mani Haghighi, “Sly” by Kamal Tabrizi, “Hendi & Hormoz” by Abbas Amini and “Sheeple” by Houman Seyyedi.

At the end of the festival, seven films of ‘Tale of the Sea’, ‘Pig’, ‘Hendi and Hormoz’, ‘Sly’, ‘The Home’ and ‘Sheeple’ will undergo judgment to select the best film as the winner of the award.
