Europeans must respond to world’s public opinion: MP

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA - A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament criticized the Europeans for not complying with their commitments towards Iran, saying that Europe should respond to the world's public opinion.

Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, about the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the EU, and their non-compliance with regard to their commitment to Iran, said, 'After the departure of the United States from Iran Deal which contradicts all international standards and the US credit was questioned in the international arena, Europeans did not follow the US path.”

'They stated that we were committed to a nuclear deal, and despite US secondary sanctions, they provided channel for financial communication that Iran could work with the European countries,” the MP stated.

Naqavi Hosseini emphasized, “Europeans not only did not fulfill their promise, but recently they made tension by pretexts such as sanctioning Iran’s intelligence agencies by Denmark and the Netherlands.

The MP noted, “We tell Europe and the Americans that the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown it is in the favor of negotiations, agreement and adhering to international standards. But if Americans and Europeans do not adhere to international standards, we are not waiting for them and beg no one.'
