Pakistan still unbeaten in kabaddi series, Iran, India playing well

Islamabad, Jan 12, IRNA -- Pakistani kabaddi teams have demonstrated good performance and won all of their matches against Iran and India in the ongoing Triangular International Kabaddi Series in Pakistan.

Pakistan Greens and Whites kabaddi teams defeated strong Iranian and Indian kabaddi teams respectively in thrilling encounters in eastern city of Sahiwal.

Pakistan Green kabaddi team won match against strong Iranian team by a narrow margin of 38-35 while Pakistan White defeated India by 38-30 points.

Pakistan Whites will face Iran while Pakistan Green will lock horns with India in two crucial matches scheduled to be played on January 13 at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti on the occasion said the International Kabaddi event is being participated by leading kabaddi teams of the world and it will help our players a lot for improving their game.

Iranian men's kabaddi team is a very strong team and has won gold medal in 2018 Asian Games kabaddi competitions. Iranian national men's kabaddi team ranked 2nd both in the 17th Asian Games (Incheon 2014) and the 16th Asian Games (Guangzhou 2010).

Last year in month of May Iranian kabaddi players visited Pakistan to participate in the country’s Super Kabaddi League.
