Iran ready for cooperation with Bolivia: Minister

Tehran, Jan 10, IRNA – Iran is ready to enhance its cooperation with Bolivia in all areas, especially in technology transfer, said Iran's Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hatami during a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales in Caracas on Thursday.

General Hatami is in Caracas to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro elected to the office for a second term.

The delegation accompanying Hatami in the visit as well as the Bolivian foreign minister were also present in the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on international and regional developments and the two-way ties.

Morales, appreciating Iran's services in maintaining peace and security on the international level, especially the country's campaign against terrorism in the West of Asia, emphasized expansion of mutual cooperation between the two nations.

Bolivia is standing by Iran, he said.

Meantime, Hatami thanked Bolivian government for its revolutionary and independent stances and hailed Bolivia's progress during the presidency of Morales.
