Iran envoy: EU sanctions shrugging off responsibility

London, Jan 10, IRNA – Iran's Permanent Representative to Vienna-based UN organizations criticized the new sanctions by the European Union against an Iranian entity and two individuals as totally unacceptable and shrugging off responsibility.

'While Europe has turned into a safe haven for the terrorist group Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, aka MEK) and other terrorists that have killed thousands of Iranian civilians, the European Union is blasting Iran and imposing sanctions on Iranians,' Kazem Gharibabadi wrote recently on Twitter.

Accusing an Iranian entity and two nationals of being involved in plots in Europe, the EU imposed sanctions on them on Tuesday.

Iranian officials at the country's foreign ministry have rejected the accusation, calling it attempts by Zionist regime intelligence apparatus to damage Iran-Brussels relations following the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal.

Iran's Ambassador to Britain Hamid Baeidinejad has also criticized Europe for harboring terrorists and separatist groups.

Iranian people do not consider as political freedom giving a breathing room to such hated groups and providing them with a chance to plot terrorist attacks and disintegrate Iran.

A video released on social media on Wednesday showed a number of people holding the flag of terrorist group known as Al-Ahwaziyeh raiding Iran's embassy in The Hague.

The terrorist group claimed the responsibility for a bloody attack on an Iran's military parade in September.

Thirty people, including children, were killed and scores more were injured in the attack.
