Creating opportunities for separatist groups not political freedom: Envoy

London, Jan 10, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador in London Hamid Baeidinejad on Wednesday criticized certain European states for sheltering terrorist and separatist groups, saying that offering opportunities for such groups is not a manifestation of political freedom.

In a tweet on Wednesday, he added that unfortunately, European states have been a shelter for the terrorist and separatist groups which are openly seeking to split up Iran.

“Iranian nation does not consider providing opportunity for the hated groups to orchestrate terror acts and divide Iran a manifestation of political freedom,” he reiterated.

Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen on Tuesday announced start of sanctions against Iran over alleged attempts on certain opponents in Europe.

He made the allegations on the basis of a report released by the Danish Intelligence Service on October 30, claiming that some intended to assassinate a Denmark-based individual linked to Al-Ahwazieh terrorist group.

In reaction to this move, an informed diplomatic official said on Wednesday that since European states are supporting known terrorist groups, Iran is reconsidering intelligence cooperation with these countries and it will soon make significant decisions in this respect.
