Sanandaj, Jan 6, IRNA - Director of development of Iran's relations with Iraq and Syria emphasizes that the export of goods from Iran to Iraq in this current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) increased by more than 40% in comparison to the previous year.

In a meeting with Baneh economic activists, Hassan Danaeefar said on Sunday that based on statistics exports from Siranband Market have grown in the dollar value, and exports of goods in the past 9 months have risen 46 percent in terms of value and 15 percent in terms of weight, indicating the growth in dollar value.

He pointed to the processes for formalizing the Siranband border, adding, 'We now have 14 common borders with Iraq, and most of these borders are economic and travel frontiers, which shows that the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches particular importance to trade with Iraq”.

Given the government's special attention to the development of trade with Iraq, new markets will be launched in the future, which will play a significant role in the country's economic prosperity.
