Evolution of Iran medical education necessary in current int’l situation

Tehran, Jan 4, IRNA - Education Deputy of Iran's Ministry of Health said that the evolving programs for medical education have been formed with a comprehensive approach and are the real needs of domestic universities in the current international situation.

Addressing a meeting, Baqer Larijani expressed the hope for continuation of the path to evolve in the health system, adding, “Education area should not be indifferent to health problems of the community.”

Larijani said that different issues such as non-communicable diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and high blood lipids are among the main challenges of community’s health, adding, 'We need to devise training programs at medical universities in line with the medical needs of the society.”

Larijani said the promotion of international communications develop the identity of medical science universities, noting, “The issue of human resources has been finalized at national level, and regional plans should be finalized with the help of regional universities.”
