Iran runner hoping to be qualified for Olympics Games

Tehran, Jan 4, IRNA- Mohammad Jafar Moradi, representative of Iran's marathon in Oman international tournament, expressed the hope that by succeeding in these competitions is being qualified for the Qatar World Championships and the 2020 Olympics Games.

Moradi, who is preparing himself to be qualified for the World Championships and the Olympic Games, said on Friday about his plans, 'I had good exercises and I will continue to complete my plans for the Oman marathon tournament these days. I will be in Oman on January 16 and will take part in the competition on January 18.'

The sportsman said that the Oman marathon tournament is the entrance to Qatar 2019 World Championship and Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. Given that is an entrance to these games definitely the best athletes in the world will participate in it to record the time and be qualified. That's why it will have a high quality level”.

Iran's athlete at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games announced the time for qualification, “The time recorded for the entry is less than 2 hours and 16 minutes. This time in comparison to Rio Olympics has been reduced by three minutes, making entry to the World and Olympic Games harder.'
