Iran's Veep congratulates Christians on New Year

Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA – Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri in a message congratulated the Christian New Year.

In his Twitter message which was released on Monday, Jahangiri expressed hope for the world to live in peace, justice, friendship and freedom in 2019.

He also expressed hope that warmongers and extremists become isolated in the coming year.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message congratulated 2019 and wished a year full of peace for everyone.

'Wishing everyone across the globe - from all races, religions and ethnicities - a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year. Let us all resolve to ensure that no innocent man, woman or child is killed or starved due to conflict, terror, aggression and coercion in 2019,' Zarif message reads.
