Besides doctrine of peace, Iran has strong military presence: Commander

Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA -- Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said on Monday that regional enemies should know that Islamic Republic of Iran has powerful military presence in addition to doctrine of peace.

He made the remarks while touring equipment and military forces preparedness deployed in the city of Bumusa.

Describing the exemplary security in Hormuz Strait and Persian Gulf as the outcome of the armed forces’ sacrifices and capabilities, he said, “Security in the Persian Gulf islands has been achieved through the struggles of the top forces and using most updated military equipment.”

Noting that certain regional states are inviting the US to hatch plots in Persian Gulf, he said, “Regional enemies should know that in addition to doctrine of peace, Iran has a strong military presence.”

Iran has always favored peace and friendship, as even the war games were held for the same purpose, he said.

“Ensuring region security is possible only through the company of all regional states and presence of aliens is disruptive to this aim,” he said.
