Terminal for export of agricultural products to be launched in Astrakhan

Baku, Dec 22, IRNA - An international logistics center and terminal for exporting agricultural products from Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey to the Russian market, will soon be launched in the Russian port of Astrakhan.

According to a report by the news agency of Azerbaijani head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of Astrakhan Denis Afanasyev announced this news, and said the logistics center of the countries agricultural production is ready to export to the Russian market.

He added that the center is expected to launch later this year.

The official said the company 'KDY Logistics' of Azerbaijan completed the preliminary work of the center and he expressed the hope that the first consignment of agricultural products would arrive in Russia by the end of this year.

According to Afanasyev, it is planned that more than one million tons of products will be exported through the center in 2019.
