Having five consecutive victories, Iranian squad ranked first in the UAE championships.
Iran was in the same group with Azerbaijan, China and Uzbekistan.
In their first match, Iranian fighters defeated Azerbaijan 66-58.
During the second match, Iran overpowered China 45-44.
Finally Iran hit Uzbekistan 54-37 to advance to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Iran stood against Kazakhstan after defeating them and advanced to the finals.
After overshining Russian rival in the finals, Iran won the Grand Prix.
The 2018 World Taekwondo Grand Prix is the 6th edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix series. This is the first year where it will be five Grand Prix events.
