'Today, the branches of the strong tree of Basij are empowered in the Islamic countries, defeating the sinister goals of the US, Israel and al-Saud,' said General Salami in an address to large group of the IRGC forces in Imam Khomeini Mausoleum on Sunday.
He said the youth in such Muslim countries, including Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Yemen are now using as their model the Basij combatants and the sacrifice they made during the eight-year Sacred Defense (1980-88) against Iraq, under former Iraqi dictator Saddam and the Baath regime.
Thus, using the Basij as a role model enable them to triumph over the Takfiri enemy and foil the conspiracies of Israel, the US and Al-Saud.
He reiterated that the Basiji spirit is the key to survival, dignity, magnificence and longevity of the sacred Islamic Republic of Iran establishment.
If today the military option is off the table of the enemies of Iran, that's because of the sacrifices made by the Basij forces in the country.
