Zarif: Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan share common stances

Istanbul, Oct 30, IRNA – Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan share common stances on regional issues, said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif at the end of his meeting with Azeri and Turkish counterparts in Istanbul on Tuesday.

Addressing a joint press conference, Zarif expressed satisfaction with his 'positive' meeting in Istanbul and said expansion of Tehran-Baku-Ankara cooperation will be highly important for development of all the three countries and regional development, better condition of living and promotion of peace and security in the region.

He expressed hope for resolving problems in the region, especially problems of the people of Syria, Palestine, Yemen and other people of the Middle East in peaceful ways.

'We have always been emphasizing that regional problems should be settled based on the international law and through peaceful ways and here we repeated the same reality in the final statement,' said Zarif.
