6th meeting of Iranian, Azeri, Turkish FMs starts

Istanbul, Oct 30, IRNA – The 6th trilateral meeting of Iranian, Azeri and Turkish foreign ministers was held in Istanbul on Tuesday.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and his Azeri and Turkish counterparts Mevlut Chavushoglu and Elmar Mamedyarov discussed variety of economic subjects, including transit, transportation, energy, customs and the like issues.

They have reportedly exchanged views on ways of contributing to further peace and stability in the region.

No reporter is present in the session, at the end of which the sides will give a press conference to outline the outcome.

Earlier, Zarif met the counterparts to exchange views on Tehran-Baku and Tehran-Ankara relations.

Bilateral cooperation and the regional and Muslim world issues were the pivot lines of talks among the ministers.

Zarif arrived in Istanbul on Monday to attend the opening ceremony of Turkey's biggest airport in Istanbul.
