Iran Vice President visits Imam Ali's shrine in Iraq

Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA – Iran's First Vice President, Eshaq Jahangiri, on Tuesday visited the shrine of Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam in the Iraqi city of Najaf.

Concurrent with Arbaeen observed annually by the Muslims to mark forty days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), Jahangiri who is in Iraq for a one-day visit to the country, travelled to the city of Najaf and visited the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS).

Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth Masoud Soltanifar and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi are also accompanying Jahangiri on the trip.
