Khashoggi murder, beginning of end to Saudi regime

New Delhi, 29, IRNA - A Shiite cleric in New Delhi stated the horrible murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoqqi was in essence the beginning of an end for the Saudi regime as it revealed the true nature of the ruthless dynasty.

In an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News agency (IRNA), Seyyed Obeid Abbas Zaidi said that the murder of the Saudi Arabian journalist unveiled the normal and routine practice in the Kingdom in dealing with the opposition.

The Shiite scholar further noted that the horrible killing of this particular person who himself belonged to the Saudi household by the government agents showed how the Saudi regime is dealing with those who criticize them.

He said the fact that the murder occurred inside the official building of the Saudi representative office in Turkey is an indication that the high-ranking officials of the Saudi regime, including the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have been involved in this work.

Zaidi who is the Imam of a big Shiite mosque in New Delhi continued that the reason why the world points to Bin Salman as the mastermind behind the curtain who engineered the killing is that all perpetrators of the Khashoggi's murder based on undeniable evidence are his fellows.

This kind of evidence leaves no doubt that the murder was ordered and coordinated by Bin Salman.

The cleric went on to say that the reflection of this murder in the world will gradually put an end to criminals within the Saudi family and will bring an end to their rule, since this family is also the source of many crimes and oppression.

Sheikh Obeid said that the murder of the Saudi journalist is a warning issued by the Kingdom for all who dare to criticize them.

Jamal Khashoggi, a critic of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and a journalist went to Saudi Arabia Consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to go through the registration process of his marriage with a Turkish citizen. He disappeared after entering the consulate.

His finacee , after ensuring that Jamal didn't leave the consulate, called police and Turkish authorities, but al-Saud officials denied everything for 18 days.

Al Saud's government was finally forced to confess to the crime because of the international society pressure and issued a statement stating that Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi consulate building in Istanbul, claiming that he was killed after a fistfight.
