Iran athlete bags gold medal in World Wushu Championships

Tehran Oct 27, IRNA - Iranian athlete Shahrbanoo Mansourian bagged gold medal at the 9th World Wushu Championships of Sanda as three wins were registered for men athletes at Wushu competitions.

The 9th Sanda World Cup began Saturday morning in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, which will end tomorrow.

The medalists of the 2017 World Championship have permission to attend the World Cup.

The team of Iran with five male Sanda athletes and three women has taken part in the World Cup.

At 65 kg weight, Shahrbanoo Mansourian who had already beaten Atieh Luisa, from Algeria, in the second fight against Doi Kisham from India, beat this opponent with authority and won the first gold medal of the Wushu team of Iran in the tournament.
