Iran's exports to Iraq having highest rise

Baghdad, Oct 20, IRNA – Iran’s exports to Iraq during the first half of the current Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2018) increased by 44% which is the highest rise among all the customers of Iran, said Iranian commercial attaché to Iraq on Saturday.

“China, Iraq, and United Arab Emirates are the three major destinations of Iranian goods, accounting for over 60% of the country’s exports,” said Nasser Behzad.

He stressed that 20% of Iran’s exports is destined to Iraq.

“More than 4,900 items were exported to Iraq during the aforementioned period, including plastic products, metals, construction materials, textile, and machinery,” he added.

Iran exported 9,618 tons of non-oil goods equal to $4.564b to Iraq during the first half of Iranian calendar, showing a 45.32% increase in weight and a 44.58% in monetary value.
