'Sweetheart'  representing Iranian cinema at IDFA documentary festival

Tehran, Oct 17, IRNA- The “Sweetheart” documentary directed by Yasser Talebi, a joint production of the Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema and Eli Image, will be screened as Iran's representative in the IDFA Festival.

The IDFA World Documentary Film Festival is the most prestigious documentary film festival in the world that offers creative and charming selection of its film screening priorities.

The 'Sweetheart' documentary is a tale of difficult but, favorite life of a lonely 82 year old mother Firoozeh who has a unique life in the heart of the Alborz Mountains.

The film was also accepted at the 61st International Film Festival of Leipzig in the official section (the world's best documentary), which was chosen as the final choice due to the coincidence of both festivals and the first world premiere.

The 63 minutes “Sweetheart' will compete for a prize of in the medium-term film contest with 11 documentaries from US, Poland, Russia, Norway, Poland, Spain, France, Uruguay and Serbia.

The IDFA Festival from November 14 to 24, 2018 in the city of Amsterdam.
