Iranian students attend int’l math event in UK

London, Oct 17, IRNA -- Iranian high school students have attended the World Mathematical Championships (WMC), that kicked off in the Royal Alexandra and Albert School on Wednesday.

In a recent interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), head of capital Tehran’s Mathmatices House, Mostafa Noori said the tournament will be held in several countries, including Britain, Singapore and Indonesia, concurrently.

Five hundred Iranian students took a test, out of whom 50 were selected to partake in the competitions.

The tournament will take place in nine different rounds in the next three days.

It is the 23rd round of matches in which Iranian students have thus far participated, winning over 700 medals in the past ten years.
