'Khosrow Shirin' translated, printed in Azeri

Baku, Oct 14, IRNA -- The second work of Khamseh Nezami Ganjavi, 'Khosrow Shirin' couplet poem, was translated and presented to academic centers and people interested in poets by the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in Baku

Khosrow and Shirin are the epitome of Ganjawi's great Persian poet, translated into Azeri by Mirjalal Zaki, a poet and one of the most prominent translators of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 527 pages in the Azeri language and licensed by the National Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Javad Jahangirzadeh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, and Seyyed Ali Akbar Ojaghnejad, Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Azerbaijan, and Asghar Farsi Cultural Advisor commended Mirjalal Zaki, for his services.

Jahangirzadeh mentioned the activities and cultural services of the translator as very useful and important in referring to the role of professors and translators such as Mirjalal Zaki in the near future and the development of cultural relations between the two countries.

Ojaghnejad, also wishing for the health and recovery of the translator, considered his cultural and literary efforts to strengthen the cultural relations of the two countries.

Farsi also referred to the deep cultural, historical, religious, and linguistic proximities of the two countries as remarkable, and described the translation of the exquisite works of the great men such as Khayyam, Khaghani Shirvani, Hafez and Shahriyar as worthy in the strengthening of cultural relations between the two nations.
