Iran, Slovenia officials stress elevation of economic ties

Belgrade, Oct 12, IRNA – Head of Slovenia chamber of commerce and Iranian envoy to the country underlined promotion of two countries' economic relations.

Slovenia is keen to develop economic and trade cooperation with Iran, General Manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia Sonja Šmuc said.

She made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Slovenia Kazem Shafei.

The Slovenian official noted that her country will send an economic delegation to Iran in the near future to explore avenues for promotion of two countries' economic cooperation.

In the meantime, the Iranian envoy for his part said that the two countries have the potential to enhance their trade exchange to 100 million euro in the near future.

He expressed the hope that the two countries' joint economic commission would be held in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana in the near future.
