Islamabad, Oct 8, IRNA - Consul General of Iran in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, Muhammad Baqir Beigi has said that Iran would welcome investors from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province for business in Iran.

He was talking to industrialists from the Hattar Industrial Estate during a meeting in the office of the Hattar Industrialists Association.

The envoy said Iran and Pakistan had been enjoying brotherly relations for decades, which could further be strengthened by better bilateral trade.

He said Iran was ready to cooperate with Pakistan in all sectors of development, trade and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Project.

The envoy said there was need for discouraging trade sanctions between the two countries.
