Iran missile shots not harming peace talks in Syria: Iran spokesman

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – The missiles shot by Iran to the terrorists in Syria has no negative effects on Syrian peace process, said the spokesman of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs in his weekly press conference on Monday.

'I do not think so and there is nothing to worry,' Bahram Qasemi said, adding that the Syrian crisis has been mostly settled and terrorism has been suppressed to a large extent.

'Certain points in Syria are still engaged with the centers for creation and training terrorism.'

Referring to the missile attack, he said, 'This is a beginning to a more serious clash with the terrorist groups, which should be ultimately annihilated completely so that they will not dare to take any such savage measures against the great Iranian people in Iranian land.'

He also commented about Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs' mediation between Iran and the Zionist regime. Qaswmi said, 'It is very kind of him, but everyone knows about the stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Zionist regime and its legitimacy; our stance on the issue makes every thing clear and that's enough.'
