Iran Army: IRGC missile attack necessary

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – In the wake of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' (IRGC) missile attack on terrorist positions in Syria on Monday, Iranian Army issued an announcement in which it said the attack was 'appropriate and necessary.'

No aggression will remain unanswered, the army statement reads.

The Statement warned terrorists against any desperate move in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran to face more crushing response.

In its statement, the Army praised IRGC measure, and expressed readiness for defending the country, people and the system.

The IRGC on Monday shot six surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to takfiri terrorists' positions in eastern Euphrates in Syria.

During the operation, the IRGC shot six ballistic missiles from aerospace base in western Iran and targeted terrorists from a distance of 570kms.

Meanwhile, seven drones also bombarded terrorists' positions, IRGC reported.

At least 25 people, including women and children, were martyred and more than 60 others injured in September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of the eight-year (1980-88) war imposed on Iran. The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.

About thirty-five countries have so far condemned the terror attack in Iran.
