Police to counter any anti-security move: Iran police chief

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – The Iranian Police will counter any economic, social, or other move aimed at disrupting the security of the country, said the commander of the Iranian police on Monday.

'Iran's security police won't let any harm to the security of the country and will authoritatively resist against them,' said Brigadier Hossein Ashatri in the opening ceremony of 17th international exhibition of police and security equipment.

Regarding the Ahvaz terror attack on September 22, General Ashatari said, 'In a blind illogical move, the terrorists martyred women, children and defenseless people.'

'Though located in a turbulent region, Iran enjoys a good security.'

'Terror agents, which are backed by the US, the Zionist regime and their mercenaries, are after driving insecurity into Iran.'

He added that the security forces guard the 8,750-kilometer Iranian land and water borders 24/7.

'The people of Iran consider the police trustable, and the police will stand against anyone who wants to harm security,' said Ashtari.

He also said that the police forces need to be equipped with the most modern equipment in the world to counter the complicated crimes of today.
