Energy technological development centre to be set up in Anzali Free Zone

Tehran, Sept 30, IRNA – Energy Technological Development Headquarters at the Scientific and Technological Affairs Department of Presidential Office and Anzali Free Zone Organization have signed an agreement to establish an energy technology center in the free zone.

Under the agreement, the two sides will establish and set up energy development technology center in Anzali Free Zone, organize professional educational courses to promore professional capacity of the knowledge-based companies and support activities of the NGOs to promote and build culture in favor of the renewable energies.

They will also hold specialized energy and environment seminars and exhibitions in Anzali Free Zone, share experience and knowledge for promotion of the corridor of China, Kazakhstan and Iran to transfer energy goods.

Meanwhile, Head of Anzali Free Zone Reza Masrour said the area can play a more important role in the economy of Iran following conclusion of the agreement.

Bandar-e Anzali (Anzali Port) is a town on the Caspian Sea coast in Gilan Province, close to Rasht, the provincial capital.
