Iranian play wins 2 Belarusian festival awards

Tehran, Sept. 29, IRNA -- Iran's Mamayerma play won two best awards of the Best Professional Performance and Best Performing Actress in the 15th International Kofar Student Theater Festival in Minsk, Belarus.

This play was presented with the idea, design and direction of Farzin Nobrani and written by Kurosh Sassanian. Elena Ahi and Farzin Nobrani won the Best Professional Performance award of the 15th International Kofar Festival in Belarus, while the Best Actress award went to Shabnam Eskandari.

The festival was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, in summer and fall of this year with the participation of countries such as Belarus, Iran, Italy, Egypt, Chile, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Morocco, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Russia, Mexico and Czech Republic.

Shabnam Eskandari, Bita Aziz Aqoli, Amir Farahani, Farzad Brahman, Abbas Alireza, Melina Qadimi and Soheil Qenaat are among the cast.
