Iran to overcome terrorist threats: Lebanon ex-commander

Beirut, Sept 26, IRNA - A strategic analyst and retired Lebanese army commander Charl Abi Nader said that Iran has a high ability to deal with terrorist threats, referring to the terrorist attack in Ahvaz.

In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), he said that the terrorist attack last Saturday on a military parade in Ahvaz, which led to martyrdom of 25 people and wounding more than 60 others, is following the security and economic measures of the enemies against Iran.

According to the Lebanese military analyst, the various pressures of the enemies of Iran, including support for the opposition to economic sanctions and efforts to reduce the influence of Tehran in the region, have not resulted in the outcome so that they seek to target within the country.

He added that their biggest goal was to bring the instability message in Iran and the existence of a security gap to hit the country from within. Another of their most important goals was the attempt to create sedition in the sensitive area of Ahvaz, which has geographically and historically specific features.

Referring to accepting responsibility for the Ahwaz terrorist attack by the Takfiri terrorist group of ISIL, Abid Nader said: The ISIS has been created to be used as a tool and cover by the countries that built it. Moreover, we can not be among the perpetrators
