Foreign intelligence organizing Ahvaz terrorist attack

Moscow, September 26, IRNA - Russian experts say the way in which the Ahvaz terrorist operations were carried out, which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of Iranian compatriots, suggests the involvement of foreign special services in the terrorist act.

Boris Dolgov, a senior scholar at the Oriental Studies Institute, told Tass news agency that the terrorist operations that took place in the Iranian parade were clearly against the Iranian army and government.

He added that the organization of the attack implies the style of special foreign services, and its implementation also shows that extremist groups can act as direct agents of operations.

The Russian analyst stated that “the terrorist operations against the Iranian army and government institutions in the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war created the idea that the responsible were radical groups, but it is clear that the representatives of the special services of foreign players opposing Iran (the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia) were behind them.”

The Russian expert said the US sanctions against Iran, the withdrawal of the United States from the nuclear deal with Iran, the American threat against Iran and anti-Iranian Israeli measures are indications of foreign services involvement in this terrorist operation.

According to him, it is clear that the enemies of Iran will continue their hostile actions against Iran.

The expert for Russian Institute for Strategic Studies Vladimir Fitin also said that terrorist operations and acts of provocation could not be ruled out, as 'we have seen in the last two years, trying to foment anti-government protests'.

He added that the demonstration was related to the economic situation, but the United States was trying to spur it, the United States supported and even helped the opposition movements.
