IRGC cmdr.: Trump’s claim about Iran president’s request for meeting, “a big lie”

Tehran, Sept 26, IRNA – Iranian people are confident that the claim by the US President Donald Trump that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had requested for a meeting with him is a big lie like his other lies, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday.

Referring to the last night anti-Iran claims of Trump at his UN General Assembly address, Major general Mohammad-Ali Jafari said, “It is you and the reactionary regional governments supporting you that are sowing the seeds of chaos, death and destruction in the region.”

“The direct and indirect crimes of the US and its regional allies in Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Iran will never be forgotten by Muslim and non-Muslim people of the countries,” Jafari said.

“Last night the participants in the UN meeting laughed at your nonsense claims,” the commander said, adding, “the people of Iran and the region are also laughing at your totally untrue and ridiculous remarks, but you cannot hear the sound of their laughs from the distance.”

Noting that today the US is known as the symbol of tyranny all across the world, Jafari said, “You are shrinking and if you continue with this path, the world will witness the early decline of the US.”
